The Dashboard is the initial point of entry to the MiVoice Border Gateway application in the server manager.
Use the Dashboard to do the following:
start/stop MBG
obtain status and system information
review licensing information
To review MBG status and licensing information:
On the MBG main page, click the System status tab and then click Dashboard.
The following status and licensing information is available for review:
Field |
Description |
Values |
MBG Status |
Enabled |
The status of the MBG server, either Enabled or Disabled. |
Network profile |
The network profile of this MBG. Options include:
Security profile |
MBG employs SSL security with digital certificates to perform authentication and admission control of all IP Phone connections. Two security profiles are available: Legacy (for 52xx IP Phones, MiCollab Client, and MiContact Center) and Enhanced (for 53xx IP Phones). |
Daisy-chain
mode |
Indicates whether this MBG daisy chained to an ICP-connected MBG server. By allowing local streaming access among remote offices, this configuration decreases the virtual distance in order to reduce latency and communication delay. |
See the MBG Installation and Maintenance Guide. |
WAN IPs |
The IP address(es) configured on the WAN interface. |
Set-side streaming addresses |
The set-side streaming address, which will vary depending on the network profile. |
LAN IPs |
The IP address(es) configured on the LAN interface. |
Icp-side streaming addresses |
The ICP-side streaming address, which will vary depending on the network profile. |
Third IPs |
The IP address(es) configured on the third network interface (if the server is equipped with one). |
Clustering status |
Cluster Status |
The status of the local node: whether it belongs to a cluster, and whether it is the master node or a slave node. |
Manage cluster |
Master:
Slave:
Zone status |
Zone name |
The name of this cluster zone. By default, the system has one zone, called "Default", but you can configure other cluster zones and then direct devices to use them. You can also rename the "Default" zone. After configuring a cluster zone, you should select a backup zone to act as a fallback in the event that the MBGs in the cluster zone become unavailable. |
Backup |
The name of the backup zone for this zone (if any). |
Node status |
Node ID |
The domain name/system name of nodes in the cluster. |
Node state |
The sync status of this node. |
Blade Version |
MBG software version installed on this node. |
MiNet devices |
The number of phones registered with the node. |
Connected devices |
The number of phones currently connected to the node. |
Address |
The IP address this server uses to communicate cluster events with the cluster. |
Weight |
The weighting factor applied to this node. |
Connected |
ΓΌ indicates that this node is connected to the cluster. |
License Information |
License Information |
List the total number of licenses available plus the number of licenses that are currently in use for the local MBG and for the cluster of MBGs. Figures are provided for the following license types:
Virtualization Support |
Indicates whether the "MBG Virtual Appliance" license is enabled, allowing the system to be a deployed in a virtual environment using VMware. |
IPv6 Support |
Indicates whether the "IPv6 License for MBG" is enabled, enabling the system to be configured with IPv6 addresses on its interfaces. |
Clustering enables multiple MBG servers to communicate with one another via TCP, sharing data in order to provide load balancing, scalability and resiliency.
To manage MBG clustering, see the following topics:
