Use this procedure to export MBG device data to a CSV file. You can use this file for backup purposes, or to serve as a template for a new file to be amended and then imported back onto MBG.
Two files are available for export—one for SIP devices and another for MiNet devices. The files contain an alphabetical listing of programmable SIP and MiNet fields.
Notes:
To read and edit the device data spreadsheet, you require a CSV-compatible application such as Microsoft Notepad or Excel®.
Save the file as a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file with a .CSV extension — for example, minet-export.csv.
Some fields programmed to "Use Master Setting" will have a value of zero (0) in the exported CSV file. This indicates that the field is unmanaged and will use the global settings configured on MBG. For example, if the Time Format is "12" in the Configuration Settings, it will be represented by a zero (0) in the CSV file and use "12" on MBG.
To export device data:
On the MBG main page, click the Administration tab and then click File Transfers.
Do one of the following:
To export SIP data, click SIP Backup.
To export MiNet data, click MiNet Backup.
Click Save.
Navigate to the folder where you wish to store the file, and click Save.
Open and update the file using a CSV-compatible application.
