Manage Configuration Overrides

You can employ the Configuration Overrides panel to apply customized values to parameters contained in the two .INI configuration files, TUG and CLIENT.

Note: Use this panel only when instructed to do so by Mitel Product Support. If you customize a parameter without authorization, MBG performance may be adversely affected.

Add a Configuration Override

To add a configuration override:

  1. On the MBG main page, click the System configuration tab and then click Overrides.

  1. Click to Add override.

  2. Update the configuration options and then click Save.

Enabled

Select to enable the template on MBG.

 

Filename

Select either of the two available file types:

  • tug.ini

  • client.ini

 

Sort order

Enter the weight for the parameter in the range 0 to 100. The higher the number, the greater the parameter's precedence in the file.

Default is 50.

Section

Enter the name of the section that you want to modify. File sections are used to arrange parameters into groups such as SIP, GLOBAL and DEBUG.

 

Parameter

Enter name of the parameter (or "key") that you wish to modify. Parameters are the basic elements in the INI files.

Typically, you would update only parameters which do not appear on the product interface but do occur within the INI files.

Content

Enter the new value for the parameter.

 

Edit a Configuration Override

To edit a configuration override:

  1. On the MBG main page of the master server, click the System configuration tab and then click Overrides.

  2. Locate the item you wish to edit on the Overrides list and click .

  3. Update the configuration options and then click Save.

Delete a Configuration Override

To delete a configuration override:

  1. On the MBG main page of the master server, click the System configuration tab and then click Overrides.

  2. Locate the item you wish to edit on the Overrides list and click .

  3. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
