About Call Recording Service

The Mitel call recording solution encompasses multiple parts; including the MBG call recording service, a compatible call recording application, and call manager platforms and devices. Call Recording Equipment (CRE) vary in their support of Mitel platforms and features. For information about configuring solution line-ups for CREs, consult your call recording equipment vendor or Mitel sales engineering.

MBG provides two services that allow an external CRE to record audio calls:

  1. Secure Recording Connector Service(SRC): A Mitel proprietary service to record MiNET and SIP devices as well as SIP trunks.
  2. SIPREC: An industry standard protocol to record SIP devices.
Note: WebRTC calls cannot be recorded.
