About MiVoice Border Gateway

MiVoice Border Gateway is a platform for the secure deployment of multiple services in a variety of network configurations. MBG provides the following services:

Teleworking: remote MiNET and SIP access ("teleworker") for IP phones on MiVoice Business platforms; NAT traversal for tenant offices for the Multi-instance MiVoice Business application.
SIP Trunking: SIP trunking from internal MiVoice Business platforms to external third-party SIP providers.
Secure Call Recording: call recording solution that allows third-party recording equipment to record Mitel encrypted voice streams.
Call Recording: service that allows external recording equipment to record audio calls.
Remote Proxy Services:
- Web proxy: a reverse proxy that provides access to hosts on a corporate LAN for clients on the Internet.
- Remote Management Service: provides administrative-level access control to the MiVoice Business and MiCollab management web interfaces using password authentication while restricting access to all other parts of the enterprise network.
WebRTC: gateway to support browser-based voice and video calling.

Notes: These platforms only support the SIP protocol, not MiNet. These platforms supports MiCollab Client softphones and 68xxi devices as SIP teleworkers. This platform supports MiCollab Client softphones as SIP teleworkers. In conjunction with a compatible call recording application. Contact your call recording equipment vendor to determine which Mitel call managers and endpoints are supported. These platforms support WebRTC calls using the Mitel MiCollab Web Client. MiVoice Office 400 Release 5.0 and later is required.
