Configure Call Recording

Configure SRC

To configure MBG for a call recording deployment with Mitel Secure Recording Connector, follow these steps:

  1. Enroll the CRE
  2. Review the call recording port ranges.
  3. Enable the service. On the MBG main page, click Call recording > Configuration. In the Secure Recording Connector frame, select the Enabled check box.
    Note: For direct call recording, select Tone Injection options (optional).
  4. Click Save.

For indirect call recording:

  1. On the MBG main page, click the Network tab and click ICPs.
  2. Click to add a new ICP or to edit an existing ICP.
  3. Select indirect call recording capable and other ICP settings, and then click Save.

For direct call recording:

  1. Configure your MiNet devices, SIP devices, or SIP trunk.
  2. Restrict codecs for MiNET and SIP if required by your CRE.

Configure SIPREC

To add a SIP Recording Server to MBG:

  1. On the main page of each MBG in a cluster, click the Call recording tab and then click Configuration.
  2. Click in the SIPREC server section.
  3. Update the SIPREC Server Options as required and then click Save.

    Enabled

    Select this check box to enable the SIPREC server.Clear the check box to disable.

     

    Host

    Enter the IP address or hostname of the SIPREC server followed by the port number. For example, 1.2.3.4:5060 srs.mycompany.com:5061

    Default SIP port is 5060 for TCP and 5061 for TLS.Your SIPREC server may use a non-default SIP port.

    Transport

    Use the drop-down to select the transport to connect to the SIPREC server:
    • TCP
    • TLS

    Default is TCP. The selected transport must also be enabled under SIP settings.

    Contact

    Use the drop-down to select which IP address MBG should include in the SIP message with the SIPREC server.

    Default is the LAN IP of MBG.

    Media

    Use the drop-down to select the encryption parameters of the recorded audio sent to the SIPREC server:
    • RTP
    • "AES_CM_128_HMAC_SHA1_32
    • "AES_CM_128_HMAC_SHA1_80

    Default is RTP.

    Preserve TO header

    Select this check box to have MBG use the recording device extension in the SIP To header and in the SIPREC body.

    By default, MBG uses a username of siprec in the SIP To header of all messages sent to the SIPREC server.

Edit SIPREC server

To edit a SIPREC server:
  1. On the MBG main page, click the Call recording tab and then click Configuration.
  2. In the SIPREC servers listing, locate the server you want edit and click .
  3. Edit the information as required.
  4. Click Save.

Delete SIPREC server

To delete a SIPREC server:
  1. On the MBG main page, click the Call recording tab and then click Configuration.
  2. In the SIPREC servers listing, locate the server you want delete and click .
