Enable Softkeys on the NuPoint UM Server

The following programming tasks are required for the Softkeys feature on the NuPoint UM server:

1. Map new NuPoint Unified Messaging extensions and voice mail ports to the 3300 ICP to allow the ICP software to understand NuPoint softkey interaction. (See Related Topics.)

2. Configure the NuPoint Unified Messaging Server Options and Unified TCP/IP menus to enable network integration and communication.

3. Assign the Softkey Feature Class of Service (FCOS) 10 to all Softkey users' mailboxes. To enable the Softkey feature, include these feature bits in the FCOS for each mailbox:

   • 007  Pause during play and record

   • 050  Play message

   • 053  Keep messages

   • 055  Discard messages

   • 070  User options menu

   • 071  Record or change mailbox name

   • 072  Record or change mailbox greeting

   • 073  Record or change mailbox password
