Users can update their Mitel OfficeLink app to the current version via the App Store icon on an iPhone or via the Play Store icon on an Android phone. Additionally, Register Your OfficeLink App provides links to download the current version.
In certain calling scenarios, the caller ID that appears may not be accurate when a mobile caller is transferred or retrieved from a parked call.
If text from the previous chat is automatically populated in the current chat input area, to stop this from occurring, turn off the display of predictive text. If the instructions below are not accurate for your Android phone, do a search for your phone model along with "turn off display of predictive text.”
When using a Samsung Galaxy S7 device, go to Settings, open General management (if visible), tap Language and input, scroll down to Keyboards and input methods and tap Samsung keyboard, and below Smart typing, tap Predicative text and set to Off.
When using other Android devices, go to Settings, tap Language and input, scroll down to Keyboard and input method and tap Virtual keyboard, tap Android Keyboard, tap Text correction, and turn off Next-word suggestions.
On Android devices with OfficeLink app version 3.1.3 or later installed, if users open the OfficeLink app while an incoming call is ringing, the Answer button might not be displayed on the call screen. To view the Answer button, the users must then close the OfficeLink app and re-open it.
On Android devices with OfficeLink app version 3.1.3 or later installed, incoming call notifications are blocked on mobile devices connected to an LTE network if the Data Saver option ( Settings > Notifications > Tip > Data Saver) is turned ON. By default, this option is OFF.
OfficeLink app is not supported on Pixel 3 devices.
On Nokia 3.1 smartphones, if you use the OfficeLink app to place a call over a Wi-Fi or LTE, a feeble echo of the input audio might occur. This issue does not occur when a call is made over a GSM network.
On Caterpillar S31 smartphones running Android 8, if you use the OfficeLink app, error messages might be displayed unless you have installed the latest version of OfficeLink app or if you have other Mitel applications installed.
On Huawei P20 Pro smartphones with two SIM cards installed, if one of the SIM cards is set as Default Calling SIM in the system settings, the mobile device’s TelecomManager prevents the OfficeLink app from handling outgoing calls, and instead routes call requests to the native phone dialer.
To enable the OfficeLink app to handle outgoing calls on Huawei P20 Pro smartphones with two SIM cards installed, the user must first configure the mobile device to not use a default calling SIM, instead prompt the user to choose a suitable option for each incoming call. To do this, select Not set from the options available in Default calling SIM from the system settings of your phone.
