Active Directory

Here you configure the Active Directory (AD) binding for the Mitel Dialer.

Parameter	Explanation
Active Directory	Enable Active Directory binding (default setting: ).
Server name or IP address	DNS name or IP address of the Active Directory server.
Port	Port of the Active Directory server.
User name	User authentication on the Active Directory server. Sample entries: CN=CS_AD_Administrator, CN=Users, DC=mitel, DC=com or sc_ad_admin@mitel.com
Password	password for user authentication on the Active Directory.
Base DN	Active Directory base directory. Sample entries: CN=CS_AD_Administrator, CN=Users, DC=mitel, DC=com

Binding Active Directory

To bind the communication server to an Active Directory, proceed as follows:

In the domain, create a user account for the CS_AD_Administrator (e.g. cs_ad_admin) and add it to the Domain user group.
Activate and configure Active Directory binding according to the above parameter description.
