Editing a user group
Internal and incoming calls of a specified user group can be offered with the help of user groups. Here you define the user groups (members of the user groups), the way in which calls are offered and distributed within the group (call distribution), and other properties of a user group.
Unlike call distribution elements, user groups are defined once and for all. They cannot be deleted or opened. All or some (Mitel 470) user groups have a call number in the internal numbering plan after a first start.
Routing to a user group
Routing to a user group is usually via a call distribution element. Internally they can also be addressed by speed dialling their call number or using dialling by name.

User group and call forwarding unconditional
A user group cannot be used as the destination for a CFU, unless it is a large user group (Large user group setting) or one of the special user groups 25 to 29.
Delay and transfer delay
You can specify the delay and transfer delay in the system settings (View / System / General).
Logging in and out of a user group
Any member of a user group can use the menu selection or a function code to log out (#48xx) and log back in again (*48xx). The last remaining member can no longer log himself out.
A user who is logged in with several user groups can either log in and out simultaneously with all the user groups or specifically with one individual user group.
Special user groups 25 to 29
The special user groups with the reference numbers 25 to 29 are provided for integrating external applications (e.g. integrating an external voice mail system). The properties of special user groups differ from ordinary user groups on the following points:
-
A special user group can be used as the destination for a Call Forwarding Unconditional.
-
In each case redirections to these user groups due to Call Forwarding will be carried out only once the call forwarding time has elapsed.
-
A member of a special user group cannot forward a call to another special user group. This is true even if the member has logged out of the special user group beforehand.
-
Calls to these user groups are offered to the member even if he has activated call forwarding (the member's CFU is ignored).
-
Special user groups do not support call distribution to the operator phone and general bell.
-
Call distribution is linear or cyclic.
-
Subgroups cannot be created.
