Maintenance codes
Maintenance staff can leave specific maintenance notes for the room using function code *53. The maintenance notes and the corresponding codes can be defined here.
Using maintenance codes
The following example illustrates the use of maintenance codes:
A member of the room service staff has found a defective light bulb when checking the guest room. On the room phone, the staff member dials *53, followed by the maintenance code for "Replace light bulb" and the hash key (#). The maintenance notes are stored and displayed in the Hospitality Manager. The reception staff inform the technical service staff.
A member of the technical service staff replaces the defective light bulb. He dials #53# on the room phone. The maintenance notes are deleted in the Hospitality Manager.
Dialling #53# deletes all active hazard alert messages of a guest room.
