System
Here you can see the connected DECT radio units. You can also change certain settings or add information.

Number of radio units |
|
DECT system state |
This setting allows you to deactivate the send and receive part of all radio units. This is signalled using a special flashing sequence of the LEDs on the radio units. Note:
In the Passive state, DECTcall connections are no longer possible. |
LED radio unit |
This setting allows you to deactivate the LEDs (light-emitting diodes) used for status display on all the radio units connected to the communication server. (default setting activated |
Encryption |
If you have connected cordless phones by third-party manufacturers in GAP mode to the communication server, it may be that they do not voice data encryption. If so, you need to deactivate this parameter. (default setting activated |

DECT recall duration (s) |
During this time a recall is signalled on a wireless phone if the DECT call connection had been briefly cut. |
Maximum number of location areas |
You can select the 1, 2 or 4 location areas: 1: Up to 256 radio units are allowed. 2: Up to 128 radio units are allowed per location area. 4: Up to 64 radio units are allowed per location area. The setting depends on your local situation (for hints see DECT location area). |

Local power supply |
Radio units can also be powered locally to relieve the communication server’s power supply. This can also render the use of an auxiliary power supply unit superfluous. |

External antenna |
If a SB-8ANT radio unit is connected to the communication server, you can use this setting to activate the external antenna Tip:
Using external antennas makes sense for rectifying radio signals, thereby achieving a greater range in one particular direction (e.g. to provide coverage to remote ancillary buildings). You can find more information in the DECT planning user’s guide. |
Location area |
You can assign the radio unit one of the maximum four location areas. A selection is only possible if several location areas are defined in the DECT Location Areas view. Note:
A location area may be assigned at most 64 radio units. |
Emergency location |
Here you can assign any of the defined emergency location data sets to the DECT radio unit. When an emergency number out of the public emergency number list is dialled, the system reacts with specific actions: The location of the caller is sent to the provider, an emergency response team is informed, alarms are issued and logs are updated. You can find more information in the focus topic "Emergency service support". |
