User accounts

Every user with access rights to the system configuration requires a user account. The user account is assigned an authorization profile in which the access rights are regulated in detail.

Initial access

A default user account is available for the initial access. The required user accounts and authorization profiles are set up using this first-start user account. The default access data are:

  • User name: admin

  • Password: password

Failed login

If the access data is invalid, access remains rejected and a protocol entry is created in the Failed login list. After 15 subsequent access attempts with incorrect password, the corresponding user account is locked. Users with administration rights can reactivate the user account.

Password syntax

  • A password must consist of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 255 characters.

  • Unlike the user names, the passwords are case sensitive.

  • The password must contain at least one uppercase letter A - Z.

  • The password must contain at least one lowercase letter a - z.

  • The password must contain at least one digit 0 - 9.

  • The password must contain at least one of the following special characters:?, <, >, -, +, *, #, =, full stop, comma and space.

  • German umlauts (e.g. ä, ö, ü) and other diacritical characters (e.g. é, à, â) are not permitted.

  • The default password password is not permitted.

  • The password must not be the same as the user name.

User account to the Mitel 470 user interface

The Mitel 470 graphical user interface allows you to retrieve status information, set a number of parameters such as the IP address, and carry out various interactions such as restarting or first-starting the communication server. A number of accesses are password-protected. The 4-digit password is assigned to the user SystemUserInterface, where it can be modified.

The SystemUserInterface user account is a system account and can neither be edited nor deleted.

Other predefined user accounts

The predefined user account mmcc is meant for operating a Mitel Mobile Client Controller.

The predefined user accounts blustar, bucs and omm are meant for BluStar terminals, a BluStar Server and an OpenMobilityManager LDAP name service.

The predefined user accounts can neither be modified nor deleted.

Authorization profiles

Each user account must be linked with an authorisation profile. Authorisation profiles determine the users' access rights. A series of standard profiles are available. You can also create your own profiles in expert mode.

Simultaneous access by several users

Two users have administrator rights to the communications system at the same time (through different user accounts) via WebAdmin.

Five users have access with Hospitality Manager rights at the same time (through different user accounts).
