BluStar / MiCollab

You can use a BluStar server to operate and control BluStar clients on the communication server, obtain presence information from the Exchange server which can be used by the clients, etc.

You can use a MiCollab server to operate and control MiCollab clients on the communication server, obtain presence information from the Exchange server and transmit it to the clients, store directories which can be used by the clients, etc.

Calendar presence synchronization via BluStar server

BluStar obtains calendar presence information from Exchange Server and forwards it to the BluStar clients and to the communication server, whence it is further distributed.

Note:

Calendar presence information can also be synchronised from an OIP server. In this case, you need to deactivate the checkbox.

User name (SIP/LDAP/CSTA)

Access information for the BluStar server, used to access the MiVoice Office 400 communication server (these values can only be changed in access control).

Installing BluStar Server

  1. Configure the BluStar server settings as shown in the above table.

  2. In the System / Access control / User account view, click BluStar Server Account, change the user name and password then activate the user account.

  3. Activate the LDAP server in the IP network / LDAP server view.

  4. Activate the CSTA service in the IP network / CSTA service view.

  5. Copy the file "setupA400.conf" from the BluStar server installation package and rename the file to "setup.conf".

  6. Open the file with a text editor and complete the following parameters:

    PBXType=A400

    PBXIP=<communication server IP address>

    PBXUser=<user name of the BluStar server account in access control>

    PBXPassword=<password of the BluStar server account in access control>

  7. Start installing the BluStar server.

  8. To configure the BluStar server, open the a browser window and enter the following infor­mation: “http://<BluStar server IP address>/webadmin“. The default user name is "admin", and the default password"Aastra123".

Setting up MiCollab Server service

The MiCollab server logs on to the communication system with the user name bucs76000035 and the password Mitel123. Therefore, a user account with this log-on data and the following settings must exist.

To connect the MiCollab server with the communication server, proceed as follows:

  1. Check under Access control, whether a user account with the user name bucs76000035 exists. If yes rename it, for instance, to bucs76000035-not_used.

  2. Open the user account MiCollab<number>, change the user name to bucs76000035 and the password to Mitel123.

  3. Check the other settings and tick the User account available checkbox.

  4. Click Apply then reopen the Blustar / MiCollab view.

    The MiCollab login data now shows the user name bucs76000035 and the password Mitel123.

  5. Enter the IP address or Host name of the MiCollab server.

  6. Switch on the MiCollab Server service (MiCollab Server )

Setting up MiCollab users

Each MiCollab user needs a MiCollab licence. An entry licence (Entry UCC User), a standard licence (Standard UCC User ) and premium licence (Premium UCC User) are available. In the user configuration assign a user a licence and choose a licence-enabled MiCollab role. In the MiCollab configuration the roles are linked with a set of features.

They transmit the MiCollab user's WebAdmin configuration via the .csv file to the MiCollab server.

To set up the MiCollab user proceed as follows:

  1. In the user list view create a new user or choose an already created user.

  2. Record/check User name, Windows user name and e-mail address.

  3. In the section Settings under Licence / Role assign the user a licence and a MiCollab role then click Apply.

  4. Repeat Steps 1 to  3 for all MiCollab users. Then return to the Blustar / MiCollab view.

  5. Click Export MiCollab users.

    A .csv file with the MiCollab users' data is created.

  6. Read the .csv file into MiCollab and complete the configuration.
