Mitel CloudLink Gateway

CloudLink Gateway is a device that connects the MiVoice Office 400 to the CloudLink Platform. The CloudLink Platform provides communication services to CloudLink apps such as Mitel One.

On the MiVoice Office 400, the CloudLink Gateway can be integrated as a standalone platform with an external gateway or as an embedded gateway on the SMBC platform. The CloudLink Gateway can also be installed as Virtual Appliance.

Before configuring the CloudLink Gateway on MiVoice Office 400, you must set up an administrator user for managing the gateway and Mitel One users.

Prepare MiVoice Office 400

To create an access account in MiVoice Office 400, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > System > Access control > User account.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter Username and Password.

  4. In Authorization profile field, select CloudLink access from the drop-down list.

  5. In FTP root directory field, select Read and Write.

  6. Click Apply.

Licensing

All licensing is done on MiVoice Office 400.

  • Active Software Assurance (SWA) for MiVoice Office 400 is required.

  • For a user with a User License, the Mitel One terminal requires an MMC Extension license.

  • For a user with an IP User License, the Mitel One terminal requires an MMC Extension license.

  • For Entry, Standard, and Premium UCC License Bundles, the MMC Extension License is included.

Enabling CSTA Services

Enable CSTA services (Configuration / IP Network / IP Security / CSTA service) and assign default CSTA port number (7001).

Prepare users for Mitel One softphone terminals

During the onboarding process, the CloudLink platform gets access to MiVoice Office 400 via the CloudLink Gateway and collects the relevant data.

To prepare the Mitel One users, proceed as follows:

  1. In the user list view, create a user or choose an already created user (Configuration / Users).

  2. Make sure the user has a name and an e-mail address.

  3. When users register their Mite One for the first time, the Mitel One softphone terminal is created and assigned to that user on the MiVoice Office 400 PBX.

Once the users are configured, the next step of the integration is to onboard customers to the CloudLink platform. Refer to the mitel.help for information about onboarding customers.

When onboarding is complete, the configuration on MiVoice Office 400 is automatically populated.

Verify the fields in the Mitel CloudLink Gateway Service interface to complete the integration.

Relay RTP data via communication server (indirect switching)

Activates indirect switching for calls via CloudLink.

Use CLIP no screening for GSM calls

If a customer calls in and the system sends this call further to the user with Mitel One via GSM, the configured “Call through” number is sent out as CLI.

If a customer calls in and the system sends this call further to the user with Mitel One via GSM, the customer's CLI is sent along.

Pre-condition: Mitel One app sets the parameter Use GSM to active.

For an incoming call addressed to the Mitel One user as a destination, the call is routed to the GSM or mobile device directly and not to the Mitel One app. The call routing is done by the MiVoice Office 400 via the configured SIP provider. In this scenario, the SIP messages (e.g. INVITE) that are sent from the MiVoice Office 400 to the SIP provider contain the configured “call through number” in the SIP From field instead of the internal user number. This is necessary for some SIP provider to uniquely identify the SIP account, to be able to process the call.
