Conference bridge
Setting up a conference bridge
To set up a conference bridge, some configurations are necessary both for the administrator in WebAdmin and for a user in Self Service Portal:
WebAdmin:
Check whether a call distribution element is defined with the conference bridge routing destination in the numbering plan (default call number: 896).
Set a Dialling in number so external users can also reach the conference bridge. Activate for this DDI number the Conference bridge
option.
Enter the internal and external DDI number in the table. These call numbers are displayed by users in the Self Service Portal and included in the e-mail which can be sent to the conference participants.
To enable the user create some conference rooms in the Self Service Portal, assign him a permission set in which the option Manage conference room via Self Service Portal
is activated.
Self Service Portal:
Open an authorised user's Self Service Portal.
Change to the Features register.
In the left part of the user interface, click the Conference bridge button.
Click the
button to create a new conference room.
-> A 6-digit PIN is created automatically for each conference room.
Give the conference room a name.
Click the
button.
-> A new e-mail with the access data for the conference room is created.
Complete the e-mail with the conference date and time (and other details) and send them to all conference participants.
If necessary, create other conference rooms and delete the conference rooms which you do not need any more.
Conference rooms are basically managed via the users' Self Service Portal. However, all open conference rooms can be seen via System assistant in WebAdmin with their status, usage counter and last application, and can deleted by clicking the symbol.
