Door intercom system

The door bell is coupled directly with a phone via the interface to a door intercom, and the user can set up a connection to the intercom via the phone and also operate the door opener.

Integrating a door intercom

You can integrate a door intercom into the system via the ODAB options card or via any analogue terminal interface.

The ODAB options card provides floating contacts for a bell key switch and a door opener, connections for an intercom and a 24 VDC power supply. For more details of the installation and connection of the ODAB options card please refer to the system manual of your communication server.

You can connect door intercoms with an analogue PSTN interface directly to an internal analogue terminal interface and operate the interface in the two-wire door mode. You can configure a DTMF sequence to control the door opener (System / Cards and modules / Interfaces / Analogue)

Adapting the call number and name of the intercom

The connection to the intercom is set up via the call number for the door intercom system. It is defined in the internal numbering plan.

In the numbering plan select the category Door intercom.
Click the ID or call number of the door intercom and then click the Change button.
Adapt the call number and enter a name.
Complete the input by clicking the Apply button.

Setting up a destination for the door bell

For each switch position you can set up an internal call number as a call destination for the door bell. It can also be the call number of a user group.

Click the ID or call number of the door intercom and then click the Change button.
Enter the call numbers of the door bell destinations for all three switch positions.
Complete the input by clicking the Apply button.

Setting up a door opener

Store the door opener function under a function key of the system phones you want. The user can then open the door by pressing the function key.
