System reset
The communication server can be rebooted with a restart or reset to its default values using a first start.
Restart of the communication server
A restart reboots the entire communication system. The configuration data is preserved.
- Never disconnect the communication server from the power supply to trigger a restart. This can result in data losses and prevent a restart.
- The restart is triggered immediately. All the active call and data connections are interrupted.
First start of the communication server
A first start has the effect of resetting the communication server from scratch. The system-specific data such as the system ID, system type, sales channel, licence code, software generation and IP address of the system are preserved.
- The first start is triggered immediately. All the active call and data connections are interrupted.
- A first start deletes all the configuration data already stored and replaces it with the default values of the sales channel. Therefore, always create a backup before configuration data first start.
Shutting down the communication server (Mitel 470 only)
Before disconnecting the communication server from the power supply, the Call Manager card (CPU1) and the application card (CPU2-S) must be shut down in a controlled manner. Both cards can be jointly or separately shut down via the control keys close to the display on Mitel 470.
- Never disconnect the communication server from the power supply before it is completely shut down (CPU1 and CPU2-S). This can result in data losses and prevent a restart.
- The call manager card (CPU1) can only be shut down via the control keys of the Mitel 470 display. The application card (CPU2-S) can also be shut down via WebAdmin.
- The shutdown is immediately triggered. All active call and data connections are interrupted, and all applications closed without warning the user.
Shutting down and restarting application card (Mitel 470 only)
The operating system of the applications card is shut down regularly and the applications card is deactivated or restarted.
The shutdown is immediately triggered. All applications are closed without warning the user.
