Manage Calls using Deskphone
Mitel One web application allows you to control the call features on the MiVO400 desk phone associated with your account from the call screen of the application. You can place, answer, hold, retrieve, transfer, or end a call in the desk phone from the application call screen.
- If you are using a SIP-DECT phone, you can only answer or end a call from the application. The other options are not supported.
- By default, for all call-related features the application uses the SIP softphone embedded in the application.
To enable Deskphone to handle calls on the Mitel One web application:
- Click your avatar, and from the drop-down panel, click Settings and preferences. The Settings panel opens.
- Click the Phone tab. The Call answering rules panel is displayed.
- Click the All phone calls use option, and select Deskphone from the drop-down menu that appears.
The application will restart, after which, the new configuration becomes active. All your calls will now be routed to your desk phone.
When you enable the Deskphone setting in the Call answering rules panel, the icon appears in the Keypad, and in the call screen during a call, to indicate that the call is being routed through the desk phone
To switch back to the softphone, follow the steps 1 and 2 described above, and click Computer audio from the All phone calls use drop-down menu.
- The Deskphone setting will be disabled when you log out of the application. Therefore, you must enable this setting each time you log in to the application to allow the application to control the call features on your desk phone.
- If the Deskphone setting is enabled, then after logging out of the desk phone, the user will not be able to use the call features of the application and will not receive incoming call notifications. To continue using these features and to receive call notifications, the user must either log in to the desk phone or enable the All phone calls use Computer audio setting in the application.
The Deskphone setting is supported on the following phones, which are supported on MiVoice Office 400:
- MSIP 68xx
- MSIP 69xx
- Aamadeus 5380 IP
- Aamadeus 5380 DSI
With SIP DECT, TDM DECT, and Analog Phones, the Deskphone setting allows you to only answer a call and end a call.
MiVoice Office 400 supports a variety of third- party certified devices; however, the Deskphone setting is currently not supported on these devices.
