About Departments

Speech Auto Attendant can support up to 15 departments in the user data source. Departments are defined by a name and a telephone number, and are sorted alphabetically in the department list window. Departments can be added, edited, or deleted from the user data source.

Note: Departments count toward the maximum number of users allowed by the system. They are given higher priority than individual users when determining which entries to exclude from the user list. If the maximum number of licensed users has been reached, the system allows you to continue to add departments to a maximum of 15. When you do a force update, users who did have SAA functionality may be excluded from SAA in order to make room for newly-added (higher priority) departments.
