Web View - Configuration

To configure Web View for a user:

  1. Ensure the user is a licensed and configured Standard UM user, Advanced UM user, Call Director user, or NP Fax user.

  2. Configure Web View for email, Web browser or Microsoft Communicator. For information about configuring email clients or Web browsers, refer to the Web View Help.

  3. Configure the "Call Me" feature for Standard UM users:

    • Ensure that a pager line group has been configured on the NuPoint Unified Messaging server.

    • Ensure that a module has been configured on the NuPoint Unified Messaging server with the pager system set correctly.

    • Ensure that the user's extension has been entered as the Call Me number on the Settings tab of the user's Web View. To complete this step, you must log into the user's Web View and define the personal settings (for instructions, refer to the Web View Help). This step can be completed by the system administrator or by the mailbox user.

Note: After a backup and restore of the NuPoint UM server, users with Web View configured for Microsoft Outlook may need to reinstall the security certificate. If an MSL backup was done, the certificate information is maintained. If a NuPoint database backup was done, a new certificate is generated at restore time and end-users will need to reinstall the certificate.
