Configure Lotus Notes 6.x for Web View Access

Note: To complete this procedure, you need the fully qualified domain name of the NuPoint Unified Messaging server. Refer to your System Administrator for this information.

  1. Start Lotus Notes.

  2. Click File > Preferences > Location Preferences.

  3. On the Internet Browser tab, click the down arrow beside the Internet Browser field and select Notes with Internet Explorer, and then click OK.

  4. Click the down arrow beside the Retrieve/open pages field and select from Notes workstation, and click OK.

  5. Click Save and Close.

  6. Click Workspace.

  7. Double-click the on Local option.

  8. In the Welcome Page drop-down menu, select Create New Page Style.

  9. In the Give your page a title field, type a name for your new page.

  10. In the Layout section, select a layout style for your Lotus Notes view.

  11. On the Content tab, select the Web Page frame to edit, and then in the Web Page pane underneath, select I want to type in the address.

  12. In the Enter the Web address to display in the frame textbox, type the fully qualified domain name for the NuPoint Unified Messaging server in the following format: http://<server name>.<domain name>.<top level domain name>/npm-pwg

  13. Click OK.

The configuration of Lotus Notes for UM Standard Web View and UM Advanced is complete. You will now have access to your voice mail, RAC, and fax messages messages through the new page you created. To access these messages, you must use the same username and password that you use for accessing your mailbox through the telephone.
