Configure Lotus Notes 7.0 for Web View Access

Note: To complete this procedure, you need the fully qualified domain name of the NuPoint Unified Messaging server. Refer to your System Administrator for this information.

  1. Start Lotus Notes.

  2. Click File > Preferences > Location Preferences.

  3. On the Internet Browser tab, click the down arrow beside the Internet Browser field and select Notes with Internet Explorer, and then click OK.

  4. Click the down arrow beside the Retrieve/open pages field and select from Notes workstation, and then click OK.

  5. Click Save and Close.

  6. Click the down arrow beside Click here for Welcome Page options and click on Create a new Welcome Page.

  7. In the Give your page a name field, type a name for your new page.

  8. In the Welcome Page display section, select Frames.

  9. In the Frame contents section, select Web Page and choose 1 Web page from the drop-down menu.

  10. In the Frame layout section, select a layout style.

  11. In the Content placement section, click on Web page, then on Choose Web page, and select I want to enter the Web address.

  12. In the Enter the Web address to display in the frame textbox, type the fully qualified domain name for the NuPoint Unified Messaging server in the following format:
    http://<server name>.<domain name>.<top level domain name>/npm-pwg

  13. Click Finish to exit the wizard.

The configuration of Lotus Notes for Unified Messaging is complete. You will now have access to your voice mail, RAC, and fax messages through the new page you created. To access these messages, you must use the same username and password that you use for accessing your mailbox through the telephone.
