CFG0009 - Configuration Wizard Unable to Configure CCMWeb for Windows Authentication
DESCRIPTION
The Configuration Wizard was unable to configure IIS to enable Windows Authentication for the CCMWeb site. You can attempt to configure this manually by following these steps:
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
FOR IIS 6 (Windows 2003 Server or XP)
- Ensure that CCMWeb exists as a site under the Default Web Site, and that the Default Web Site is running.
- Right click on CCMWeb --> Properties --> DirectorySecurity tab --> Click Edit (Authentication and access control section).
- Make sure that "Anonymous Access" is DISABLED, and that "Integrated Windows Authentication" is ENABLED. No other authentication methods should be enabled.
FOR IIS 7 (Windows 2008 server or Windows 7)
- Ensure that CCMWeb exists as a site under the Default Web Site, and that the Default Web Site is running.
- Click on CCMWeb. Double click the "Authentication" icon under the IIS section.
- Set "Anonymous Authentication" to DISABLED and Windows Authentication to ENABLED. All other options should be DISABLED.
For either version of IIS, you need to make sure that IE has been configured to pass the user's Windows credentials to CCMWeb.
You can do this in IE by navigating to Internet Options --> Security -->(choose the zone that CCMWeb is in) --> Custom level --> User Authentication. Enable the option called "Automatic logon with current user name and password" (usually found right at the bottom).
APPLIES TO
CCM 6.0
