CFG0010 - Unable to configure CCMWeb for Anonymous Authentication
DESCRIPTION
The Configuration Wizard was unable to configure IIS to enable Anonymous Authentication for the CCMWeb site. This is the required setting for customers who are NOT using Active Directory integration. You can attempt to configure this manually by following these steps:
FOR IIS 6 (Windows 2003 Server or XP)
- Ensure that CCMWeb exists as a site under the Default Web Site, and that the Default Web Site is running
- Right click on CCMWeb --> Properties --> DirectorySecurity tab --> Click Edit (Authentication and access control section)
- Make sure that "Anonymous Access" is ENABLED, and that "Integrated Windows Authentication" is DISABLED. No other authentication methods should be enabled.
FOR IIS 7 (Windows 2008 server or Windows 7)
- Ensure that CCMWeb exists as a site under the Default Web Site, and that the Default Web Site is running
- Click on CCMWeb. Double click the "Authentication" icon under the IIS section.
- Set "Anonymous Authentication" to ENABLED and Windows Authentication to DISABLED. All other options should be DISABLED.
