
REP0001 - Distribution - Can not print Excel report when Protected View is enabled
DESCRIPTION
The protected view settings of Excel 2010 are enabled and printing is blocked.

Warning
IMPACT
Reports will not print successfully.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
If Protected View is enabled for Excel 2010, then Report Distribution will be unable to printing Excel reports.
You must disable protected view for printing to function.
- Open the excel report.
- Click the File : Options.
- In the left pane, Click Trust Center.
- Now, on the right pane, click the Trust Center Settings button.
- At this point you should be in the Trust Center dialog window.
- In the left pane, click Protected View.
- Untick the following options:
- Enable Protected View for files that fail validation.
- Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet.
- Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations.
- Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments.
- Click OK.
To verify if this was successful return to the Report Inbox and click on a report. If excel opens and protected view is still enabled try setting the following registry key;
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Security\FileValidation] “EnableOnLoad”=dword:00000000
