REP0023- Report failed to print locally

DESCRIPTION

When an employees' printer settings are enabled to print locally, the printing is handled by the client machine and not by the server. The file must be downloaded from the server to the client machine before it can be printed. Once the file is on the client machine, an automated Excel process enables printing.

The report will not print.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

This error occurs for one of two reasons:

  1. The Excel file did not download successfully from the server to the client.
  2. The automated Excel process failed.

Check the Contact Center Client log file for the following message:

Attempting to print {0} locally. An exception was thrown downloading the report from the server using {1}. The file should get written to {2}

In the above message:

0 = the name of the file to be downloaded

1 = the location on the client machine where the report will be saved

2 = the http handler used to download the report from the server

This error, combined with the error stack below, should indicate why local printing failed.

NOTE: This error is not an indication that the default printer is invalid. If the default printer is invalid, error REP0007 will display.
