Dashboard

The Dashboard is the initial point of entry to the MiVoice Border Gateway application in the server manager.

Use the Dashboard to do the following:

Review MBG Status and Licensing Information

To review MBG status and licensing information:

  1. Navigate to the MBG main page, Dashboard appears.

  2. The following status and licensing information is available for review:

Field

Description

Values

MBG Status

Network Profile

The network profile of this MBG. Options include:

  • Server-gateway on the network edge
  • Server-only on the network DMZ
  • Server-only on the network LAN
  • Custom configuration

See Network Profiles.

Streaming addresses (IPv4)

Set-side streaming addresses

The set-side streaming address, which will vary depending on the network profile.

See Network Profiles.

ICP-side streaming addresses

The ICP-side streaming address, which will vary depending on the network profile.

See Network Profiles.

Interface IPs

WAN

The IP address(es) configured on the WAN interface.

LAN

The IP address(es) configured on the LAN interface.

Third

The IP address(es) configured on the third network interface (if the server is equipped with one).

MBG Services

MBG service

Displays the status of the MBG server.

Click the MBG service to start, courtesy down, or stop the service.

  • white - not enabled
  • orange - starting up or shutting down
  • green - enabled and running
  • blue - courtesy down (only applies for MBG service)
Note: If you hover over these tabs additional information is displayed.

WebRTC

Displays the status of the WebRTC service.

Clicking this tab opens the WebRTC configuration page.

MiNet

Displays the status of the MiNet support.

Clicking this tab opens the MiNet configuration page.

SIP

Displays the status of the SIP support.

Clicking this tab opens the SIP configuration page.

Call recording

Displays the status of the Call recording service.

Clicking this tab opens the Call Recording configuration page.

Event Services

Displays the status of Event services if an issue has been detected. This service runs in the background processing events, updating MBG metrics and sharing data in a cluster. If displayed, collect logsand contact product support

Application metrics

Provides an overview of the load on the application by displaying the following gauge metrics:

  • Device calls / connections
  • WebRTC calls
  • Trunk calls
  • Active taps

These values are refreshed every minute.

Click to view device calls/connections graph.

System metrics

Provides an overview of the load on the system by displaying the following gauge metrics:

  • Load average
  • % CPU
  • Swap
  • Disk usage

Clustering status

Cluster Status

The status of the local node: whether it belongs to a cluster, and whether it is the master node or a slave node.

Manage cluster

Master:

  • Resync cluster
  • Dissolve cluster

Slave:

  • Resync with master
  • Take ownership
  • Leave cluster

Zone status

Zone name

The name of this cluster zone. By default, the system has one zone, called “Default”, but you can configure other cluster zones and then direct devices to use them. You can also rename the “Default” zone.

After configuring a cluster zone, you should select a backup zone to act as a fallback in the event that the MBGs in the cluster zone become unavailable.

Backup

The name of the backup zone for this zone (if any).

Node status

Node ID

The domain name/system name of nodes in the cluster.

Node state

The sync status of this node.

Blade Version

MBG software version installed on this node.

MiNet devices

The number of phones registered with the node.

Connected devices

The number of phones currently connected to the node.

Address

The IP address this server uses to communicate cluster events with the cluster.

Weight

The weighting factor applied to this node.

Connected

ü indicates that this node is connected to the cluster.

License Information

License Information

List the total number of licenses available plus the number of licenses that are currently in use for the local MBG and for the cluster of MBGs. Figures are provided for the following license types:

  • Teleworker licenses
  • Tap licenses
  • SIP Trunk licenses
  • Transcoding licenses

Virtualization Support

Indicates whether the “MBG Virtual Appliance” license is enabled, allowing the system to be a deployed in a virtual environment using VMware.

IPv6 Support

Indicates whether the “IPv6 License for MBG” is enabled, enabling the system to be configured with IPv6 addresses on its interfaces.

Manage MBG Clustering

Clustering enables multiple MBG servers to communicate with one another via TCP, sharing data in order to provide load balancing, scalability and resiliency.

To manage MBG clustering, see the following topics:
