Manage Devices by Directory Number

You can configure individual directory numbers to support direct call recording and/or logging.

Add Override Settings for a Directory Number

To add a DN override setting:

  1. On the Services tab, click Device settings by DN.

  2. Click Add DN override.

  3. Update the options as required and then click Save.

Enabled

Select to enable the DN and allow it to connect to the SRC. Clear the check box to disable access.

 

DN

Enter the directory number for the DN.

 

Description

Enter a text description for the DN such as the user's name.

Alphanumeric entry. Maximum 256 digits.

Call Recording

This field controls call recording for the DN.

  • Use master setting to allow the selected DN to use the call recording setting programmed on the Configuration tab.

  • Enabled to enable call recording for the selected DN.

  • Disabled to disable call recording for the selected DN.

Default is "----" (no selection)

Log to individual file

This option enables you to collect log files for the selected remote device, enabling you to isolate and troubleshoot problems being experienced by a particular user:

The device-level log files can be downloaded from:

  • The Device logs section under the Manage device page.

  • The View Log Files panel in the MSL Server Manager. Under tug/devices look for files prefixed with the device MAC address.

Default is disabled.

Logs for the device

If Log to individual file is enabled, the DN-level log files are listed in this field.

To download logs for the DN:  

  1. Select the timestamp format:

  2. TAI64N (default) - The log times are resolved to the system time and presented in a human-readable format known as Temps Atomique International. Select this option if you are recording logs on a single MBG.

  3. Localtime - This log times are resolved to the local time and presented in a coded format. Select this option if you have multiple MBGs and you need to merge their log files and into a single report resolved to a common time zone.

  1. Select a log file:  

  2. To download an individual log file, click its name (for example, 08_00_0F_16_DC_26.log).

  3. To download all log files (in zipped format), click Fetch all logs.

You can download an individual log file or all log files.

Delete Override Settings for a Directory Number

To delete a DN override setting:

  1. On the Services tab, click Device settings by DN.

  2. Click Delete for an entry on the list.

  3. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.   

Modify Override Settings for a Directory Number

To modify a DN override setting:

  1. On the Services tab, click Device settings by DN.

  2. Click Modify for an entry on the list.

  3. Configure the DN override settings.  

  4. Click Save.
