To update the active configuration with your changes, the NuPoint service must be stopped so we recommend that you perform this procedure during periods of low call traffic.
This procedure is required to update your active configuration after you have made changes to the Offline Configuration or the Inactive configuration.

To activate the inactive configuration:
From the Main Menu, type S (System maintenance), R (Reconfiguration), R (Reconfigure system).
Type A (Activate Configuration). The system prompts you to confirm the activation.
Type Y to activate the configuration.
After Wait for message waiting queues to be empty?, type Y.
After Wait for paging queues to be empty?, type Y.
Exit to the Main menu and type X to exit NuPoint Text console.
Notes:
NuPoint services are temporarily unavailable while the configuration is activated.
When you activate the new configuration, the old configuration is stored offline as the "inactive" configuration. If you experience problems with the new configuration, you can restore the old configuration by activating the inactive configuration", provided no changes have been made to it in the interim.
