Phones

From the Phones section, the Mitel Partner can add phones, and then configure the phone. To add a phone for a user, complete the following steps:
  1. Click + Add Phone, Select a phone dialog box is displayed.

  2. From the drop-down list under Phones, select the type of phone.

  3. Depending on the type of phone you select, do either of the following:
    1. If you select Desk Phone or Generic SIP Phone, click Add to proceed.
      Note: Alternatively, to select Desk Phone, you can click on the drop-down list to add DN, and select phone type as Desk Phone.
    2. If you select Hot Desk, Additional options section is displayed. Options such as ACD Agent and External Phone are displayed. You can choose to select the additional options or choose to skip to add the additional options. Click Add to proceed.     Note: You can modify User Phone Keys, see Programming User Phone Keys for more details.
  4. Click Save to apply changes.

The phone is added in the Phones section.

Note: If the phone configuration is not successful, an error is displayed. Click the notification icon to view and fix the error.
To navigate to the location of the error, you can either
  • click the error message in the Table of Contents

  • or the error message at the bottom of the page

  • or click on the icon associated with the phone

Adding MiVoice Business Telephony Services for a User Without a MiVoice Business License

To assign MiVoice Business telephony services to a user who does not yet have a MiVoice Business license, follow these steps:
  1. In the left navigation pane, go to User Management > Users.
  2. Select the user to whom you want to assign the MiVoice Business telephony service.
  3. Select + Add Product.
  4. In the Products and licenses dialog box, select Add next to MiVoice Business Service.
  5. Select Done.
  6. Select Complete setup.
  7. From the list of available templates, select the desired template.
  8. Select Apply Changes.
  9. In the Select a Home PBX dialog box, choose a PBX from the drop-down list.
  10. Select Continue.
    Note: If errors appear, select the error link to view the details, and then resolve all listed errors.
  11. Select Save.

Updating MiVoice Business Telephony Services for a User

To update MiVoice Business telephony services for a user:
  1. In the left navigation pane, go to User Management > Users.
  2. Select the user whose MiVoice Business configuration you want to update.
  3. In the Products and licenses section, click the Settings icon next to MiVoice Business Service.
  4. Under the Phones section, select the phone service you want to update.
  5. Make the necessary changes to the configuration (For example: phone type, voicemail settings, programmable keys).
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Deleting a MiVoice Business Telephony Service for a User

To remove the MiVoice Business telephony service from a user:
  1. In the left navigation pane, go to User Management > Users.
  2. Select the user from whom you want to remove the MiVoice Business telephony service.
  3. In the Products and licenses section, click the Settings icon next to MiVoice Business Service license.
  4. Expand the phone service you want to remove.
  5. Scroll down and click Remove.
  6. Click Save to confirm and apply the changes.

Applying a Basic MiVoice Business License Type to a User

Note: Ensure the user has been assigned the MiVoice Business Service product before proceeding.
To apply a basic MiVoice Business license by selecting a service category, follow these steps:
  1. In the left navigation pane, go to User Management > Users.
  2. Select the user to whom you want to apply the license.
  3. In the Products and licenses section, click Complete setup next to MiVoice Business (no service assigned).
  4. In the Choose service category dialog box, click Choose service category.
  5. Click Select next to the basic service category, and then click Apply.
  6. From the list of available templates, select the appropriate template.
  7. Click Apply Changes.
  8. In the Select a Home PBX dialog box, choose a PBX from the drop-down list.
  9. Click Continue.
    Note: If errors appear, select the error link to view the details, and then resolve all listed errors.
  10. Click Save.

Upgrading a MiVoice Business License Type for a User

To upgrade the license type by selecting a new service category for a user, follow these steps:
  1. In the left navigation pane, go to User Management > Users.
  2. Select the user whose license you want to upgrade.
  3. In the Products and licenses section, click the Settings icon next to MiVoice Business Service.
  4. Click Choose service category. The Choose service category dialog box appears.
  5. Click Select next to the premium service category, and then click Apply.
  6. Click Choose service tier. The Choose service tier dialog box appears.
  7. Click Select next to the desired service tier, and then click Apply.
  8. From the list of available templates, select the appropriate template.
  9. Click Apply Changes.
  10. In the Select a Home PBX dialog box, choose the appropriate PBX from the drop-down list.
  11. Click Continue.
    Note: If errors appear, select the error link to view the details, and then resolve all listed errors.
  12. Click Save.
