Auto attendant announcement

Operator announcements can be used for callers waiting in a queue and also for other purposes.

An operator announcement is comprised of between one and ten sequences. An action is assigned to each sequence. Depending on the type of action, a mailbox, call number or the duration can be entered.

Mailbox

For the Deflect to mailbox action, select the mailbox of an existing user from the list.

Note:

Only those users where a mailbox is assigned are displayed.

Call number

For the Deflect to call number action, enter here the internal or external call number. Further information can be found under Deflect to call number.

Duration

Enter here the duration in seconds for how long audio is fed to the caller.

External audio source

Plays audio from the external audio source.

Internal audio source

Internal audio source: Plays the internal audio file you selected in the configuration of music on hold (Services / Music on hold view).

Ring back tone

The ordinary ring back tone is played.

Silence

The user hears nothing.

Hold tone

A periodically recurring dual tone.

Enter the Duration in seconds for each of the above actions.

Position in queue information

The user is played a system text indicating their current position in the queue.

Deflect to mailbox (with greeting)

The call is transferred to the user mailbox number entered in the field Mailbox. The mailbox’s active greeting is played back directly. This announcement only makes sense as the last sequence, as the announcement is then exited. Further information can be found under Deflect to call number.

Deflect to mailbox (without greeting)

The call is transferred to the user mailbox number entered in the field Mailbox. The activated mailbox greeting is not played back. This announcement only makes sense as the last sequence, as the announcement is then exited. Further information can be found under Deflect to mailbox (with greeting).

Deflect to call number

The call is transferred to the call number entered in the field Call number. This announcement only makes sense as the last sequence, as the announcement is then exited. Further information can be found under Deflect to call number.

Leave a message

The caller can leave a voice message on the active mailbox after a prompt tone. This announcement only makes sense as the last sequence, as the announcement is then exited. Further information can be found under Leave a message.
