Caller ID Update Issues

In certain calling scenarios, the caller ID that appears may not be accurate when a mobile caller is transferred or retrieved from a parked call.

Android users may see text from previous chat displayed in new chat

If text from the previous chat is automatically populated in the current chat input area, to stop this from occurring, turn off the display of predictive text. If the instructions below are not accurate for your Android phone, do a search for your phone model along with "turn off display of predictive text.”

Android users may not see the Answer button during an incoming call

On Android devices with MiVoice Office app version 3.1.3 or later installed, if users open the MiVoice Office app while an incoming call is ringing,the Answer buttonmight not be displayed on the call screen. To view the Answer button, the users must then close the MiVoice Office app and re-open it.

Android users will not be able to view incoming call notifications

On Android devices with MiVoice Office app version 3.1.3 or later installed, incoming call notifications are blocked on mobile devices connected to an LTE network if the Data Saver option (Settings > Notifications > Tip > Data Saver) is turned ON. By default, this option is OFF.

Android phones might not alert users to the first incoming call if the phone has been idle

Android phones might not provide any indication of the first incoming call on the MiVoice Office application after the phone has remained idle for a prolonged period. This is because the Android OS will put the MiVoice Office application in Doze Mode or App Standby if the application remains idle for a long period of time or if the user closes the app from the home screen of the phone. To prevent the MiVoice Office application from going to Doze Mode or App Standby, you must enable the Run in background option from the Settings screen of the MiVoice Office application.

Pixel 3 is not supported

Mitel MiVoice Office app is not supported on Pixel 3 devices.

Call quality issues on Nokia 3.1 devices

On Nokia 3.1 smartphones, if you use the Mitel MiVoice Office app to place a call over a Wi-Fi or LTE, a feeble echo of the input audio might occur. This issue does not occur when a call is made over a GSM network.

Issues on Caterpillar S31 smartphones

On Caterpillar S31 smartphones running Android 8, if you use the Mitel MiVoice Office app, error messages might be displayed unless you have installed the latest version of Mitel MiVoice Office app or if you have other Mitel applications installed.

Ghost Calls on iOS Devices

Ghost Calls occur when a network connection is lost at the instance when a call is being presented to the application. After an upgrade to 5.9.1,  the iOS VoIP call notification TTL timer can reduce the risk of Ghost Calls. To use the updated timer, after upgrading to MiVoice Office 5.9.1, log out of the application and then log in back again.

While there is an active cellular call, the microphone cannot be used for another call on Mitel Office

When an android user who is on a cellular call receives and answers an incoming MOMA call, the first call is placed on hold. Under this condition, the audio is not transmitted for the second call if the mobile has VoLTE enabled. To avoid this issue users must disable VoLTE on their mobile devices.
