A Full Install requires multiple system reboots, during which call processing is halted. To minimize service outage on resilient systems, resilient devices are automatically transferred to their secondary controller. If the Software Installer detects such devices, it will prompt you to start the transfer either immediately or after a specified waiting period elapses. An immediate transfer terminates any active calls. Waiting allows time for users to complete their calls before they are terminated.
NOTES
MCD Release 4.1 uses SDS instead of OPS Manager to synchronize the telephone directory (TelDir) in a clustered environment. As such, all systems in the cluster must be running Release 4.1 for TelDir synchronization to work. For more information, see "RDN Synchroniation" in the MiVoice Business System Administration Tool Help. See also, Knowledge Base article 09-3070-00008, "Migrating to RDN Synchronization via SDS."
