Manage MiVoice Business Subscription Ed.02 Licensing Bundles

Note: This topic does not apply to MiVoice 5000, MiVoice MX-ONE, and MiVoice Office 400 communication platforms. For these communication platforms, you provision MiCollab users with licenses from the call manager administrator interface by assigning roles to the users.

This topic covers the following tasks:

Note: Templates are only applied during the creation of new users. If you apply a MiVoice Business Subscription license bundle to an existing user, upgrade a user’s license bundle, or swap user bundles, you must manually assign the phone and application services.

Assigning MiVoice Business Subscription Ed.02 Licensing Bundles

You can assign MiVB Subscription Ed. 02 licensing bundles:

  • directly to an existing user entry from the User License Bundle field in the User tab

  • by applying one of the default roles when you create a new user with Quick Add or Bulk User Provisioning.

  • by adding custom templates that specify a MiVoice Business Subscription licensing bundle (Entry, Elite CX, Premium, or Telephony) and then using Quick Add or Bulk User Provisioning to apply the template during the creation of new users.

Note: If all the available MiVoice Business Subscription license bundles for a specific bundle type (Entry, Elite CX, Premium, or Telephony) are in use, you will receive a licensing violation message if you attempt to assign another one of those license bundles (that is, you cannot assign a bundle to a user if the in-use bundle count is already equal to the licensed bundle count). The system displays the number of "available" user licenses and the number "currently used" in the server-manager interface under Applications on the Licensing Information page.
Note: In MiCollab Release 7.0 and later, you manage a user's Multi-Device User Group from the MiVoice Business system administration tool.
