Adding SIP media servers
To add a SIP media server
- Click YourSite > Media servers.
- Click Add > SIP.
- After Name, enter the media server’s name.
To distinguish between the various types of media for management and reporting purposes, you must name each media server distinctly when setting up your site. It is recommended that you include the media type in the name of the server.
- Optionally, after State, set the media server’s state.
There are two states, Normal and Emergency. States are used by certain IVR Routing activities to provide branching routing paths in workflows and subroutines.
- After Site, click the Browse button.
- Select the media server’s site and click OK.
- After IP address, click the Browse button.
- Enter the SIP media server’s IP address or DNS name and click Add.
You can enter multiple IP addresses or DNS names.
- Click OK.
- Configure CTI settings.
- Click the Location tab.
- After Country, click the Browse button.
- Select a country and click OK.
- After Area, click the Browse button.
- Select an area code and click OK.
- Click Save.
After adding a new SIP media server, you must:
- Add endpoints to the SIP media server.

- Test the server’s connectivity.
- Configure the Record Agent Greeting workflow
- Add endpoints to the SIP media server.
