Upgrade Platform Groups
Platform Manager allows you to upgrade the platform instances. This simplifies upgrades, particularly for multi-node Platform Groups.
Upgrades are performed by migrating to a new blueprint that uses the new versions of MiVoice Business or MiVoice Business Express, so you start by creating the new blueprint.
Note the following:
-
The Upgrade feature supports MiVoice Business (in MiVoice Business Multi Instance) and MiVoice Business Express instances.
-
During the upgrade, the platform databases are backed up, and after the upgrade is complete, the databases are restored.
-
The Upgrade feature allows you to choose whether or not to retain a rollback file. If you choose to keep a rollback file, you will be able to roll back the upgrade, if required. Remember that the rollback files consume significant resources, so consider creating and retaining rollback files only when they are really needed.
-
The ARID Blueprints do not have to be upgraded.
You can upgrade Platform Group Instances created in Platform Manager from inside Platform Manager by following these basic steps. The detailed procedures follow.
